Early Sunday morning 4am, I was awaken by my dearest wife complaining on her contraction which comes and goes every 15 minutes. How to sleep after that?! We just managed to clear a room and set up the necessary furniture before the baby arrival. This is an early arrival.
12 hours later, here we are back to a familiar place again at Thomson Medical Centre. The gynae came and suggested my wife to stay overnight although it’s only 1cm opening.
We went IKEA to shop for single bed frame. Of course, how can we miss the food there! Javier loves the chicken wing too! See pictures…
We dined at Thai Express@United Square for the first time. The shopping mall is famous for selling children stuffs. Lots of toy shops and education hubs. Some TE food was spicy, probably they should have more kids meals on the menu to attract more family-type customers in the mall.
After dinner we passed by a toy shop. Javier quickly spotted his favourite toy corner and went in to play with other kids in the shop.
It’s April Fool Day! No joke, I bumped with my company highest executive management personnel at the end of the day. What a luck!
Tonight, we decided not to cook or “dapao” dinner, so we went to Bishan Junction 8 Food Court for dinner. After dinner, we visited a DVD exhibition and make some purchases (some cartoons of course). We were given an angry bird soft toy as gift which eventually be claimed as one Javier’s collection.
Opposite my block there is a famous hawker centre with some nice food stall. Some food has increased in price including one of my favourite minced meat noodle, the Bar Chor Mee. A small bowl has increased from $3 to $3.50, a 16.67% increase!
Javier learned about rainbow on the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse cartoon series. This evening, although there was no rain, the sky was orangish and there was a rainbow in the east!
I carry Javier to see his first “real” rainbow in the sky. I sang the rainbow song in the cartoon to Javier, “red, orange, yellow… green, blue, purple” (yes, there was only 6 colours in the song). He recalled it quickly. Unfortunately, I was not quick enough to take out a camera to take a shot of this rare phenomena.
Javier was officially back to Singapore under parents’ care in September 2010. During that time, we were having hard time finding vacancies in childcare centre and eventually we found one at Science Park 2 – a place where the birds don’t lay eggs, so called.
Time flies and after 6 months, we had moved him to a new childcare centre, right opposite our block. Here, he learned new things and happily wake up early to head to “school”.
We are glad that he’s adjusting well after short 2-3 weeks in the new environment.
Thanks all for keep browsing this blog for more Javier’s photos. Unfortunately, my studies had made me no time to upload photos one by one. Thus, I had switched back to use the photo gallery if not my facebook to upload Javier’s photos.
